Little Flock

Little Flock is our feeding program.  We provide a free breakfast for children each morning Monday through Friday.  We set up a kitchen and seek volunteers to serve through their local church.  We plan a monthly menu to provide variety and nutrition.  Each child receives a vitamin before breakfast.  Donations to our Little Flock program help buy food and supplies for feeding approximately 70 children each day.   On average, it costs $0.55 per day to feed one child.

Education

Lifting Burdens provides Sunday School Teacher Training Seminars, weekly Women's Bible Study, Computer instruction to pastors, repujado (metal embossing) classes, sewing instruction and other basic craft classes.  From time to time, we teach Adult Sunday School classes and tutor children.  Our goal is to teach them how to fish and not to fish for them.

Medical/Physical Needs

Lifting Burdens helps pay for doctor's visits, costs of operations and medicines.   We provide transportation to the doctor or to take care of legal matters.  We distribute clothing, blankets and shoes where needed.  We also distribute school bags and supplies in the fall.  All of these blessings are made possible by donations to our "Wherever" fund and gifts sent by our churches back home.

Construction

Jorge plays a key role in the construction and in educating Mexican men and women on how to build and maintain the projects that we are doing.  Our organization is instrumental in providing the USA teams with a place to work, the materials to do the job and a place to stay.  Lifting Burden Teams have built homes for needy families, built classrooms, installed bathroom facilities, straighten walls, patched roofs, painted, insulated and drywalled, installed electrical fixtures, built church benches and the list goes on and on.   If you are interested in bringing a team to Reynosa click "Mission Trips/Projects" on our menu.
