Spain is a beautiful country. One thing that really sticks out is the architectual skill involved in all the old buildings.
The first six slides are ceilings in the various cathedrals we visited.

The next three slides are La Sagrada Familia by architect Gaudi. This is an incredible structure. The dark brown is what Gaudi finished before his death. The rest is being finished by architects who are following his plans. The various scenes of Christ's birth, life and death are depicted all over the structure...truly a talented man.

Our guide explains how a young lady would use a fan to show her like or dislike of a young man. Shortly after the explaination, Gene tried his luck with Laura.

Our first evening in Madrid we went to a bullfight. This was truly the FIRST REAL bullfight I have been to. I have been at many that were called a bullfight but never one of this magnitude. One definitely felt a part of the culture.

The other "cultural" event that we attended was the Flamengo Dance. On our way back, we were entertained by a group in the local park who had gathered for the fun of it.

May was the perfect time to go to Spain...not to hot...not to cold and flowers blooming all over. This is a shot of a Jacaranda tree. These were all over the place as well as Bougainvillia.
